5. Warm and Scatter the Exterior and Interior

$15

Presentation:  Pathogenic cold in both the interior and exterior; chills and a deep pulse

Ingredients for 1 bulk herb vacuum sealed bag:

Jing Jie (Schizonepetae Herba) 6g
Zhi Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix preparata) 3g
Zhi Fu Zi (Aconiti Radix lateralis preparata) 9g
Zi Su Ye (Perillae Folium) 9g
Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (granular) * 1g
Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) 9g
Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma recens) ** 4 slices

Currently it is illegal to use bulk Xi Xin in the United States for internal use. Therefore we use a certified aristolic acid free granular version. It is a 5:1 extract and the dosage is adjusted accordingly. It should be dissolved into the strained decoction.

** Sheng Jiang needs to be added by the patient or practitioner. One slice is usually the size of the quarter and is ~ 3 grams.

Suggested dose: 1 bag over 2-4 days. The above dosage is doubled from the original source.

Notes: This is the formula for Qin Bo-Wei's treatment method #5 for Cold (p. 180 in Qin Bo-Wei's 56's Treatment Methods, Writing Precise Prescriptions.) The above formula has been slightly modified to suit modern clinical practice in the United States. Please send us an email if you have any questions about this.
